A paranoid rhinoceros tiptoeing his fool self across a high wire.

How would you describe yourself traipsing down the grocery aisles for the first time in 13 months, Chloe?

A skitzy ungulate’s got nothing on this girl.

Placid Suspicion

Off to the grocery store for the first time in 13 months.
And I’m, surprisingly, steady about it.
No knuckle has been chewed off.
No skin has been rubbed raw.
Heck, even my stomach is alarmingly placid…
The only conclusion?
We have a calm-before-the-OH-CRAP!-storm-thing going on.
Yep, cue the “Clean up in aisle three!” man.

Hope.
I gobble it up like potato chips.
Shoving my face in the bottom of the bag, I chomp up the salty dregs with a relish that is, frankly, disturbing.
So…
With one jab of vaccine thrumming through this body, I’m having a real hard time not leaping mouth-first into the hope bag and licking.
